This month of\nJanuary has been marked by the arrival of the Wuhan corona virus. It has changed\nthe way we operate, changed our priorities and changed our plans. The virus, a\nstrain related to the SARS virus that was present here in 2003, continues to\nspread and more and more precautionary measures are being put into place daily.\nThe government has suggested that people stay inside their homes and keep away\nfrom public venues except for absolute necessities. All public events for the\nChinese New Year annual celebrations were canceled. All schools are closed\nuntil further notice and working hours have been compromised. In addition, Many\nemployers are allowing their staff to work from home as much as possible.\nThese, along with the required wearing of masks and increased hygiene regarding\nhand disinfection are all measures put in place to stop the spread of the virus\nwhich has been confirmed as human to human transmitable. We are very thankful\nindeed that we live outside the city center and we are able to go out for walks,\nhaving activities in the local parks, etc. also, there  are very few people out here and the air is\nalways circulating due to our proximity to the sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIn spite of this, Philip and Julie had made plans to come for a long awaited\nvisit during the Chinese Spring Festival and before things developed into a\nglobal health concern, they bravely decided to step out and carry through with\nsuch planned journey! It was such a great time together with their precious\nfamily . Everyone was excited to meet 1yr old Riley and interact with 4yr old\nZak again! We actually spent a lot of family time together since we were\ngranted extra work holidays and not able to visit any public venues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
