Home front – March 2021

By Donna

This month was a test of our trusting and patience. Donna suffered another painful knee dislocation and was forced to slow down to the point of total rest for one week and then hobbling around on crutches for the rest of the month. What a blessing it was for her to have loved ones who offered, with much ado, to assist her in her needs and to fill in the gaps around the home. We are happy to report that the knee tissues are responding well, and although complete healing is arriving slowly, we are convinced that it is on it’s way. Psalms 103 reminds us to:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases”;
– And all the people say “Amen”!

Jason has found himself a place on the local Sporting soccer team. This signifies lots of practice trainings which produce lots of sore muscles and ligaments! This is a great chance for him and Jason is happy for the opportunity!

Gloria is putting in training hours at the hospital. She is stationed in the surgery ward and emergencies and is learning through observation and assisting the doctors which she follows.

Sweet Julie celebrated her birthday this month! She is so far away, we don’t get to spend much time together, but we are happy to see that she and Philip and Zach and Riley are all doing well !!

As usual, we made further improvements to the home: This time we changed the covering of our pergola up on the terrace. We had some workers do the work as it was too dangerous for us to climb up to the top of everything. It is well done.
