Home Front – July 2021

There was no school this month but there were things to learn just the same: Isabel is learning piano and ukulele so we have instituted a morning practice schedule. We also have some baking projects and the girls help turn out a lovely variety of cookies!

Jason helped his team to victory to keep their position in the first division, but unfortunately suffered an ankle injury. He has been off it for a week and is gradually returning to normal activity.

To our dismay, we noticed that the kitchen tiles were literally coming loose from the walls. We were able to arrange help in replacing them and although still in the works, we are expecting a whole new look soon!

(August 2) Celebrated with a family get together for Joana’s birthday! She is teaching up a storm at her center where so many children are invested in learning English during the summer holiday. She is one very busy teacher!

(August 3) Sweet Isabel turned 6! She was surrounded with friends and family for her birthday! She patiently sang the Happy Birthday anthem in four languages before she could blow out the candles! Isabel is surely a blessing of the Lord!
