Happy Birthday, Wordproject!! 🙂
A few days ago, someone wrote to me asking how he should introduce our work to a friend who is very interested, especially the audio Bibles. I suppose he wanted to know what church or denomination, what branch of Christianity, we were affiliated with or belong to.
Many people do not realize that the answer to this question is stated online, in the Wordproject webpages. It is all explained in our Faith and Mission Statements present in all our websites, a sample of which you may find here:

This month, more precisely on April 12, Worproject celebrated 20 years of life. Thank God we survived our infancy and our teen years and we are now starting into adulthood. 😊
With the Lord’s help and so many people contributing to this project, we have accomplished quite a few things. Among them the recordings, in several languages, of the precious Word of Life, the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. We should never forget, nor doubt, the impact the Word has on the lives of many around the world. Not only as the Word of Salvation but also as the comfort, encouragement, strength and peace the Word brings to the hearts of those who seek, and in this case find, through our presence online, our Apps and the audio devices we make available. The many communications we receive from the field testify of this.
For example, just yesterday, we received a message from Mathias, the narrator of the Luganda Audio Bible, that said:
“Thank you so much for the work you do.
Thank you very much for not limiting the spread of the word of God with copyright.
From 3 a. m. I have been on the net and was surprised by the various sources that have used my narration and made apps! One even put it on YouTube as videos for each individual book!!’ M
Indeed, Mathias, the power of WP has been that it allows and even encourages others to use our resources, thus exponentially multiplies its outreach. We are thankful for that too!
